Bioassay of Phytochemicals Isolated from Chloroform Extracts of Azadirachta indica Leaves

The present study investigated the chemical constituents isolated from Azadirachta indica chloroform extract. extraction of leaves was done using Soxhlet apparatus. To isolate and identify antibacterial fraction extract, TLC-bioautography carried out. Phenol 3,5-bis (1,1-dimethyl ethyl), Phthalic acid bis (7-methyloclyl), Dido decyl phthalates, Oxalic acid, allyl hexadecyl ester, 2-Piperidinone, N-(4-bromo-n-butyl) were five primary chemicals identified by GC-MS study. findings FTIR revealed presence functional groups C-H str, C=O C=C str as well alcohol carboxylate ion. While 13C NMR data demonstrated existence carbonyl, aromatic carbon, quaternary olefinic methyl group, 1H results aliphatic OH, methyl, proton. phytoconstituents detected analysis showed a wide range pharmacological properties, including antioxidant, antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, antimalarial effects. Thus, plant has high concentration medicinal that can be used to make antimicrobial medications fight against pathogenic bacteria.
